Micro-enterprise Business Grant Opportunity

The Town of Adams, in partnership with Berkshire Regional Planning Commission, is preparing to submit a $850,000 regional Community Development Block Grant CDBG-CV grant application to MA Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD).  The grant application is due on Friday, June 12.  If awarded, this grant will provide assistance to a limited number of micro-enterprise businesses in south Berkshire County, on a first come, first served basis, where there are 5 or fewer employees and where the business owner(s) is low to moderate income, and where the business has been adversely impacted by Covid-19.  The program will provide grants up to $10,000 for operating expenses such as rent, utilities and staffing, and other operating expenses.

This grant opportunity will be available to assist businesses in the following communities: Adams, Williamstown, Lanesborough, Cheshire, Dalton, Clarksburg, Florida, Peru, Savoy, Windsor, New Ashford, Hancock, and Hindsdale.

If you are a micro-enterprise business owner located in any of the 13 communities listed above, please take a few moments to fill in and submit the pre-application found in the link below.  This will help in demonstrating the need and demand for the grant application.  Please respond no later than 5:00 pm Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
